Facebook rolls out Call to Action buttons for Pages
It’s no secret that Facebook has been constantly trying to make its advertising platform more powerful and accessible. The major changes to Ads manager and power editor last year clearly show the focus placed on the end goals for advertisers. The updates aimed at providing better campaign management, optimization, and reporting features.
Furthermore, In December 2014 Facebook announced a new call-to-action feature which is currently being rolled out.
Call-to-action buttons link to any destination on or off Facebook that aligns with a business’s goals. The available options are;
- Book Now
- Contact Us
- Use App
- Play Game
- Shop Now
- Sign Up
- Watch Video
“Currently, not every Page has the option to add a call-to-action button. This feature is currently being rolled and all Pages will have the option to add it in the future.” said Facebook in the announcement.
The setup process is swift and well guided. You will be welcomed with a pop up when you open your Facebook page if it is eligible for the update. The pop up will guide you to the next steps.
The feature is also packed with these powerful options;
1) You can provide a separate link for mobile website if you have one in place.
2) Gives you separate linking options for IOS and Android. Also, an option to direct visitors to either website or app.
I have started seeing updates on several pages including the ones that I manage as well. The feature looks promising for businesses as they can utilize the traffic coming to their Facebook Page in quite a lot of ways.
